Why I Wrote This Book

I wrote this story for my daughter Aubrey. When her dad, Wes, passed away—the person we loved so deeply—I watched her carry questions that had no easy answers—questions that lived in quiet moments and tearful nights. I wanted her to know that her love still mattered. That her words were still heard. That the bond she had with her daddy didn’t disappear.

So, I started writing.

What began as a whisper of comfort became this book—a way to hold space for her grief and to give language to what so many children feel but can’t always say.

What began as a way to comfort Aubrey is now a gift of love for anyone missing someone they still carry in their heart.
